Revit Unleashed! .: Working with design options

- Usually our project has many design variations, specially when we are drafting. Here you have an example of working with design options in Revit while designing an Hotel and the progress of it´s facade.
Also there are some renders in 3dsMax of the final facade.
-Usualmente nuestro proyecto tiene muchas variables de diseño, especialmente cuando estamos en la etapa de anteproyecto. Aquí tienen un ejemplo del uso de "design options" de Revit mientras se diseñaba un hotel y el progreso de su fachada. También tienen algunos renders hechos en 3dsMax de la fachada final.

Final Design

-As shown in the last video posted, we switch from Revit exporting as a *.dwg our model to 3dsMax and start putting some lights, testing real materials and also when needed go back to Revit and make some changes. I always recommend to "import" our .dwg file with the "File link manager" option (you can find it in File menu) when using 3dsMax. And the reason is quite simple: we can go back to Revit and re-export our .dwg file with the new changes, then go to the File link manager on 3dsMax and you´ll see that our loaded file has a red flag (this means that there are some changes on it) you just hit Reload and you´ll upload file.

-Como se muestra en el último video posteado, pasamos desde Revit a 3dsmax exportando nuestro modelo en formato *.dwg y comenzamos a poner algunas luces, probar materiales reales y en caso de necesitarse, volver a Revit para hacer algunos cambios. Siempre recomiendo "importar" nuestro archivo .dwg con la opción "File Link Manager" (se encuentra en el menú File o Archivo) cuando usamos 3dsMax. La razon es simple: podemos volver a Revit y re-exportar nuestro archivo .dwg con los nuevos cambios, luego retornar a la utilidad File Link manager en 3dsMax y podremos ver que el archivo cargado tiene una banderita roja (esto significa que hay algunos cambios en él), sólo hacemos click en Reload y ya hemos actualizado el archivo.
